The traction wheel is a device for the elevator to transfer traction power, using the friction between the traction wire rope and the rope groove on the traction wheel edge to transfer power.
The traction wheel should bear the full weight of the elevator car's own weight, load and counterweight. Moreover, the traction wheel is required to have high strength, good toughness, wear resistance and impact resistance. Therefore, QT600-2 ductile iron is often used as the material.
In order to reduce the wear of the traction wire rope in the rope groove of the traction wheel, in addition to selecting the appropriate rope groove type, reasonable requirements should be made on the roughness and hardness of the working surface of the rope groove.
