ISO 1083 JS 700-2 ductile cast iron has the characteristics of very good mechanical strength, low fracture toughness and moderate abrasion resistance.
Chemistry requirements are not specified in the ISO 1083 standard. The iron foundries could adjust the chemical components according to their experience and production conditions, as long as they could meet the mechanical properties.
