ISO 1083 JS 500-7 is a nodular iron with a mostly pearlitic and smaller amount of ferrite microstructure.
The nodular iron with this material grade has mechanical properties comparable to low alloy steels.
Chemistry requirements are not specified in the ISO 1083 standard. The iron foundries could adjust the chemical components according to their experience and production conditions, as long as they could meet the mechanical properties.
