QT450-10 ductile iron is carbon in the form of spherical graphite. Its mechanical properties are much better than gray iron but close to steel.
It has excellent casting, cutting and wear resistance, and has certain elasticity.

As for normal ductile iron, the chemical composition is not important comparatively. The iron foundries could adjust the compositions according to their experience as long as they could meet the physical and mechanical requirements.

The microstructure of GB 1348 QT450-10 ductile cast iron:
Heat treatment specification: as-cast or normalizing
Metallographic structure: as cast: graphite + ferrite (matrix) + pearlite
Normalizing: graphite + more pearlite + ferrite, can obtain higher comprehensive mechanical properties, especially improve plasticity and toughness.
