Spheroidal Cast Iron Castings

Spheroidal cast iron is also called as SG iron, ductile iron, or nodular graphite iron. The iron castings made by this material have been used in many industrial and civil areas.

According to the difference of physical properties, such as tensile and yield strength and elongation, the spheroidal cast iron has been divided as the following grades.

Dandong Foundry in China has produced sg cast iron castings for over 50 years, and has produced thousands of different types. The followings are some casting parts we are producing.

This is a type of axle support brackets used on agricultural machinery, such as tractors. In the past, these axles brackets were produced by gray cast iron. When the material changed into sg iron, the tensile strength has been increased largely, therefore, the axle brackets will be more tough and reliable. Our foundry produced them by green sand casting process.

This is a type of cradle bracket made by sg iron. This part was used on the large engineering trucks. The spheroidal cast iron could meet its requirements for bearing very large force and reliability. Our foundry has produced these cradle bracket parts for over 10 years. All of them have been exported to Italy and UK.

The sg cast iron is also a suitable material for producing high tensile manhole covers and frames. Our factory is producing some large square and round manholes for our clients overseas. As for these large manhole covers, the resin sand casting process is more suitable.

There are many other casting parts, which should be produced by s.g. iron material, such as cast iron plates, brake drum, cast iron flywheel, tractor gearbox, flange castings, cast iron pipe fittings, truck parts, and tractor parts etc.
